As a Club we endeavour to be community-minded and find ways to help other organisations in the local area and beyond.

The Club provides marshalls and other support for the annual Brantham 5 mile and fun run which takes place in the village each July. In 2026, the race will form part of the Suffolk County Athletics Grand Prix series which should assist in attracting more participants from accross Suffolk.

We are actively engaged in the work of Brantham Leisure Centre (BLC) to outreach into the village community and provide a hub and venue welcoming for everyone whether involved in running, sport or just to socialise.

In February 2024, the club organized a 24-hour run titled ‘Miles for Marsland’ to support bowel cancer research. This event was inspired by Steve Marsland, a local resident battling incurable bowel cancer. The initiative saw participation from 76 runners and volunteers, collectively covering nearly 750 miles and raising over £10,000 for the cause.

For 2025 we organised our second 24 hour running event, Neuro 24, this time for Epilepsy Society and MS-UK. Causes close to the heart of Hatty, our Vice Chair and Coaching co-ordinator. This raising over £3,500 spilt between the two good causes. 67 adults and 22 children covered over 700 miles during the event in early June.

Since forming in 2021 we have donated more than £500 to the BBC Children in Need appeal through fun and often very silly themed Club nights.
